In device manager window expand "Network Adapters" by left clicking on the little triangle. Right click "Intel (R) Wifi Link 5100 AGN" and left click "uninstall" a new window comes up.

The Intel site states support is no longer provided for my wireless network adapter - the Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN (hence this outreach to this esteemed community).
