Wayanad (Kerala): Shortly after Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra filed her nomination from Wayanad, her brother and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said on Wednesday that the parliamentary constituency now has two Members of Parliament.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday officially entered the poll fray as she filed her nomination papers from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seats for the bypolls. Priyanka Gandhi along with her brother and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi held a roadshow before filing her nomination papers.

Wayanad is the only constituency in the country which will have two members in the Parliament, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Wednesday as he urged the people of the hill district to vote for his sister,

He further said that being the "unofficial MP" from Wayanad, he will come here and "interfere" in the problems people are facing.

After filing her nomination from the Lok Sabha seat, she said that she is receiving a lot of love from the people in Wayanad.

Earlier, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra officially signed her nomination papers in the presence of local leaders.
