Nayab Singh Saini took oath as the chief minister of Haryana at a ceremony in Panchkula on Thursday that was attended by entire top brass of BJP including Prime Minister Modi and CMs of party-ruled states.

Nayab Singh Saini, the proverbial dark horse who became star of the BJP’s victory in the Haryana assembly elections, was sworn in as chief minister of the state on Thursday in a grand ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a galaxy of NDA leaders.

Chief ministers of several NDA-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh, were in attendance as were BJP president J P Nadda, Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah.

Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as Haryana's chief minister in Panchkula on Thursday, attended by PM Narendra Modi. Other key officials were also sworn in by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. The event coincided with Valmiki Jayanti.

Nayab Singh Saini won the Ladwa assembly seat in the recently concluded Haryana assembly election by a margin of 16,054 votes against his Congress's Mewa Singh.
