Double Exposure was announced earlier this year, it gave this writer mixed feelings (not helped by the dark cloud still hanging over Deck Nine). Still, I decided to see if this latest entry still had something to offer.

Hiding the bottlecap in the right spot will help Max discover Safi's hidden secret in Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

Compared to the first game, the writing has most certainly improved. There were no immersion-breaking lines of dialogue that we encountered, and characters were still witty and charming in unique ways, especially Max and her lovably dorky inner dialogue being in full force.

Double Exposure sees the return of Max Caulfield, the first game's protagonist, now attending Caledon University. When her friend Safi ends up murdered, though, Max ends up discovering that her powers now open alternate timelines at will,

It took a little while to draw me in, but after its first two chapters, Life is Strange: Double Exposure has me utterly intrigued.

Double Exposure introduces interdimensional travel for Max Caulfield, adding a unique twist to the series. The game focuses on a paranormal detective thriller theme, challenging players to unravel a murder mystery across two timelines.

Life is Strange has never been about Max and Chloe for me. I like the first game, but my single favorite episode from the series is "Roads," the first chapter of the Diaz brothers' traumatic road trip across Life is Strange 2's America.
