Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Kendrick Lamar won Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the BET Hip Hop Awards. The rapper, 37, won a total of eight awards during the ceremony, which took place Oct. 8 in Las Vegas and aired Tuesday on BET.

Fat Joe returns to host the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards with Megan Thee Stallion, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake leading the nomination pack. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 15 on BET and vH1.
