The University of Nevada, Reno women’s volleyball team has announced it will forfeit its upcoming game against San Jose State University over concerns about a trans athlete, according to a media report.

Nevada became the fifth team to forfeit a women’s volleyball match to San Jose State, with one of its players saying the move was in protest of NCAA guidelines that allow transgender women to compete for women’s sports teams under certain conditions.

Nevada Athletics previously had announced that they would participate in the matchup, set to take place at the Virginia Street Gym.
