(WNDU) - The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) announced the matchups for the sectional round of the state football playoffs on Sunday evening. Below are the sectionals involving our local schools. Sectional play begins Oct. 25 for classes 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A, while classes 5A and 6A will begin their postseasons on Nov. 1.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFIE) - The Indiana high school football postseason is less than two weeks away. That means, Sunday night, was the highly-anticipated sectional draw!

Teams officially learned what their paths to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will be Sunday when the IHSAA released the sectional pairings. The postseason for Classes 1A-4A begins Oct. 25, while 5A and 6A don’t start until Nov. 1 due to only having 32 teams in each class compared to 62 schools in each of 1A-4A.

IHSAA football first round sectional games for Class 4A through Class A are set for Oct. 25, with 5A and 6A to begin the following week.
