The Falcons had a tough time stopping Carolina’s passing attack for much of Sunday’s game, but cornerback A.J. Terrell overcame a poor start to intercept a pass thrown by Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton in the fourth quarter.

Andy Dalton wasted no time in putting his trademark accuracy on display ... kind of. With the Panthers at the Falcons' 5-yard line, Dalton dropped back to pass and was quickly flushed from the pocket on third down.

Dalton, on a second-and-8 from the Atlanta 32-yard line, was picked off by cornerback A.J. Terrell in an attempt to find tight end Ian Thomas. The Falcons proceeded to piece together a nine-play, 84-yard scoring drive—capped off by a 2-yard touchdown from Allgeier—to take a 35-20 lead with just under six minutes remaining.
