Meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, this stunning landscape of white travertine terraces is a natural collection of mineral pools formed by calcite-laden waters from hot springs. Together with the Greco-Roman city of Hierapolis, it's recognized as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. An entrance ticket grants access to both sites. Enjoy the unique experience of walking barefoot in some of the pools and soak in the selected areas open to the public. Early morning is the best time to visit so spend a night in the nearby towns. Or join a bus tour from seaside towns like Kusadasi and Antalya. – Tripadvisor
