It is confusing how this works, but you can check out a bike at any of 24 stations. I know one is at Freedom Park and one is at The Market at 7th St , there are others around town. You pay $8 for a 24 hour pass but from what I heard that is misleading because you have to pay $4 for each 30 minutes after the first 30 minutes. But if you check the bike into a station every 30 minutes you can ride the bike all day for $8. You will have to make sense of that by reading the instructions at the station and googling info for Charlottes B-cycle. But to answer your question the stations are scattered around and the cost to rent one is $8.
